ROTPUNKT, an award winning designer and leading manufacturer of climate friendly German kitchen furniture, continues to place tremendous value on power partnerships, as it selects a range of key brand partners to become part of its ongoing market presence.
Matt Phillips, Head of UK Operations at Rotpunkt says, “I believe that strong partnerships are essential to supplying a broad spectrum of furniture innovations, which are sustainable and deliver best-in-class design solutions for our customers. Continually seeking like brands to work with and make a difference, we’re extremely proud to be long-standing partners with a variety of global accreditation bodies, along with collaborative product design and ongoing brand partnerships at key industry events and exhibitions. In fact, Forbes reports that strong partners will produce strong results and this is why we ensure that our brand partnerships are founded on shared values, and is supported by our growing network of premium UK retailers.”
For example, kbb Birmingham saw Rotpunkt return as a proud Show Partner and also a trusted exhibitor ready to inspire the next generation of suppliers, designers and specifiers in kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design once again.
kbb 2024 also made way for the recent collaboration with home fashion label, Buster + Punch, where UK customers can now experience a range of signature handles designed to complement the latest furniture designs by Rotpunkt. The innovative Rotpunkt X Buster + Punch Handle Collection is designed and made in England, and includes 20 style combinations with 5 handles and 4 colours to create contemporary kitchens, which are defined by difference.
Rotpunkt is also thrilled to partner with Abode, where four out of five displays on Stand Q90 highlighted a series of the company’s designer sinks and taps, all finished in contempoary matt black to provide absolute brand harmony.
Firmly established over a decade ago, the partnership between Rotpunkt and Pfleiderer Deutschland began in 2015 with the launch of BioBoard, a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional chipboards. Ongoing innovation from both brands led to the development of BioBoard Gen2, which consists of up to 90% recycled wood without compromising on style or quality. Fulfilling the world’s highest requirements for formaldehyde emissions, BioBoard Gen2 is certified F4 star standard, which equates to 50% less emissions when compared to conventional chipboard to provide a healthier living environment in the domestic home.
80% of all Rotpunkt furniture is made of Greenline BioBoard Gen2, with 95% of all Rotpunkt kitchens FSC® certified to provide a greener alternative for both home and planet. Lending itself perfectly to the company’s ground-breaking ‘Together to Zero’ climate strategy established in 2017, Rotpunkt continues to work in partnership with MyClimate.org to ‘avoid-reduce-compensate’ and ensure environmentally friendly and energy efficient production of all its furniture.
Matt says, “I have always been inspired by our ability to lead with integrity and partner with brands, which share the same goals as Rotpunkt. Our ‘Together to Zero’ climate strategy is based on the 17 goals for sustainable development that were set by the United Nations and so, we are extremely proud that just six years after rollout, our kitchen furniture is central to the UN17 eco village, which is regarded as one of the world’s most ambitious and sustainable building projects ever!”
Through carefully considered partnerships, sustainable projects, and climate friendly furniture design, Rotpunkt works hard to offset all unavoidable emissions from its production, vehicle fleet and employee mobility to continue on its one mission to zero emission.
For many years, Rotpunkt has worked in partnership with world leader of clever kitchen storage, Kesseböhmer to optimise its product offering and to provide new levels of space management through tailored designs for kitchen living interiors, utility and laundry space, as well as luxury dressing rooms. The extensive range of storage systems, racks, organisers, and shelving solutions all cater to the latest trends and, more recently, include specially designed internal storage for the new 750 mm wide cabinets by Rotpunkt to complement today’s supersized integrated appliances.
Thanks to the extended range of widths by Rotpunkt, now spanning 600 mm standard to the new 750 mm wide units, customers can experience a visually quiet kitchen décor which is ultramodern and offers superior storage space. Making it is easier for kitchens to be arranged to better suit the user depending on personal preferences and range of movement, the new 750 mm wide units were also on display at this years’ kbb Birmingham, and feature premium cabinet hardware from Kesseböhmer in the ARENA Pure design with choice of round or angular interior storage tray.
