Travis Perkins relocates popular Northampton store

A NORTHAMPTONSHIRE branch of a leading UK builders’ merchant has relocated after nearly four decades in the same place.

Travis Perkins’ Wellingborough base has moved a short distance from Links Road to the Ise Valley Industrial Estate on Meadow Close.

The warehouse space at the relocated branch, which spent 35 years at its previous location, is almost 50% bigger than its former home and offers significant benefits to tradespeople and other customers.

The new branch features a wide range of building and construction products including timber and sheet materials, bricks and blocks, joinery, tools, landscaping materials as well as offering Travis Perkins’ tool hire service plus click and collect.

Jamie Drummond, Wellingborough Branch Manager, said: “We are thrilled to have moved into the new branch which will ensure we are continuing to lead the way for building supplies in our local area.

“We have a proud reputation of providing materials to support building projects and home improvements across the Northamptonshire area and we look forward to continuing to enhance that offering.

“All of our knowledgeable team have moved over to the new branch so we will be offering the high quality of customer service that Travis Perkins is renowned for.”

The new branch is open from 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and from 8 am to noon on Saturdays.

To mark the relocation, Travis Perkins has made a donation of £1,000 to Alzheimer’s Society, the business’s nominated charity.

Jamie added: “It is great we have moved into our new branch, but we are equally pleased about the donation we have made to Alzheimer’s Society. It is a charity very close to the hearts of all at Travis Perkins and we are proud to back its fantastic work.”

Travis Perkins is part of Travis Perkins plc and is the UK’s largest supplier of building materials to the building and construction industry.
